Upward Sports Ministry
Mitchell County Upward Basketball & Cheerleading League is a sports ministry of a different kind.
We are blessed to have a part in the building of character and sportsmanship in the lives of young people from Kindergarten through the 12th Grade. This league is built upon prayer even before the season begins and is carried by prayer as the season progresses. Teaching sportsmanship and Christlikeness on and off the court is our main goal.
We are a league of volunteer Christian workers planting the seed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the hearts and lives of young people and their families. The coaches share devotions and Scripture at each practice and at halftime of each game there is a devotion shared with the fans and family members.

We are beginning our 6th year of Upward Sports!! We are pleased to announce that we will go through 12th grade again this year. The only change that we are making is that there will be no High School Co-Ed!
Welcome back to Upward Basketball & Cheerleading 2012!! We thank God for this opportunity to minister to your family through sports.
We are excited to begin Upward 2012!!!. We have a total of 86 this year!!! 12 basketball teams and a very big cheer squad!! Here is where you will find ALL of important info as the season goes on,like game schedules and practices, so please keep coming back to stay updated on changes.
REMEMBER: THURSDAY, APRIL 5 AT 6:30 WILL BE OUR UPWARD CELEBRATION. HELD AT THE TRI-COUNTY BAPTIST TABERNACLE at 252 RIDGE ROAD IN SPRUCE PINE.
